One Piece season 2 review

The series which opened at the end of season 1. The visual effects of the series are great because many sequences like Reverse Arc where walls and the crew enter. That was so real. The actors’ performances like the main lead actors do a nice job. Also new characters like Nafertari Vivi aka Miss Wednesday played by Charitra Chandran, Miss All Sunday aka Nico Robin played by Lera Abova, Sir Crocodile aka Mr 0 played by Joe Manganiello, Smoker played by Callum Kerr, Bartolomeo played by Nahum Hughes and others like Chopper.

One Piece season 2

The character design of Chopper is so accurate and so cute. Also Chopper monster transformation is great. Overall, season 2 is better than season 1 of One Piece. We should accept that there are many limitations in live action and animation. In my opinion if you want the best live action series then you should watch it on Netflix.

My Happy Marriage

The live-action film adaptation of My Happy Marriage (2023) presents a “Japanese Cinderella” narrative set during an alternate Meiji Restoration era, where supernatural “Gifts” are integral. The story follows Miyo Saimori, a noble girl mistreated by her stepmother, who is married off to the cold military commander Kiyoka Kudo, known for scaring away previous fiancées. Contrary to her expectations, Miyo discovers Kiyoka’s kind heart, leading to a blossoming romance as she nurtures him with care.

The plot thickens with the revelation that Miyo possesses a rare “Dream-Sight” ability, her powers previously sealed for her protection. The film intensifies with a climax involving Grotesqueries, spirits that cause chaos in the Imperial Capital, demanding Miyo to confront her fears and harness her abilities to save Kiyoka. Key differences from the source material include a condensed pacing, missing characters like Kiyoka’s sister Hazuki, and a climactic focus on a broader battle scene rather than entering dreams, showcasing Miyo’s powers to save numerous people at once. The film features Ren Meguro as Kiyoka and Mio Imada as Miyo.

Upcoming Live Action Adaptions

Sakamoto Days live action is announced and a trailer also comes where Ren Meguro will be seen as Sakamoto in a live action movie. Sakamoto Days live action release date is 29 April 2026 in Japan.
